So much of existence is beyond the realm of common understanding and perhaps it is best that it remains so.  The writings of H.P. Lovecraft explore this realm of incomprehensible existence and most often the terror that accompanies.  For oftentimes, the concepts that are most horrific to us are those things outside of our understanding.

With much of his most notable work written during the last decade of his life, H.P. Lovecraft's reputation has grown substantially after his death and he is now considered one of the most influential horror writers of the 20th century.
