Google Spotlight Stories is the Oscar nominated, Emmy award-winning platform for immersive stories. The technology behind the platform can be used for all forms of content from short films to music videos, advertisements to complex game-like interactive stories using 3D and 2D animation, 360° spherical, cinema-quality video, full-sphere surround sound, and advanced sensor fusion techniques. Spotlight expands on existing 360° platforms by allowing creators to include interactive components and camera techniques and was conceived for mobile because of mobile’s native technical abilities and broad distribution.

We’ve created original pieces with some of the world’s best storytellers to develop the tech, optimize our Story Development Kit (SDK), and define a format to capture immersive, interactive, 360° stories, and VR content.
