I wonder if I am too wary of change. I am constantly holding up a measuring tape to the distance from my childhood to now, desperate to find a way back home. I wonder if I am too hardened by the world, if I have become unkind.

I miss recess, I miss home, I miss my youth.
I miss everything that once was.
