When Kidage are born, their tail and horns are undeveloped and vulnerable to the elements. Prior to their birth, their parents gather a receptive group of Craus to settle in these regions to keep them protected. These early settlers are potentially rewarded with a permanently safe dwelling when the creature evolves, though it must first get through these difficult early years.
