Only a Pinipounce skilled in hunting can evolve into Walerus. When the creature’s girth exceeds the capacity of its already large frame, it begins to sprout tusks, beginning its evolution. In adulthood, these tusks can reach up to eight feet in length. In contrast to its predecessors, Walerus feeds infrequently, relying on its effective parsing of body fat. Thriving in freezing waters, Walerus uses its tusks to hang onto ice so it may freely breathe without setting foot on land. In this aquatic environment, a Walerus can effectively use its weight to propel itself at great speeds.
