The theme is "progress" or "growth." That idea has always been in the back of my mind since I started considering making games. It's always hard to feel like you're actually improving, but looking back at
what I can do now compared to when I first started really motivates me to keep learning and growing - and it's crazy to think there's still so much more ahead. It takes time, but we can all get there.
I figured a good way to represent that would be through the giant tree in the Conservatory, with a small tree beside it - just beginning its life - to symbolize what it can one day become. I liked the idea of making this a night piece, since so much of my studying has happened during those late hours.
