I always liked flipping to the table of the contents. I like to see what the body has in store. But I think that in this life, as much as I want to see what my own life has ahead, to skip to a synopsis, skip to the good part, I’m okay with living it out. The heartache, the headache, the ache. 

But the laughter from my belly, the skip in my step, the warmth in this beating heart— my gosh, it all matters. Everything does. 

I reach my shaking hands out to the uncertain but steadfast me. Cradle this sweet life. I’ll see you tomorrow, the day after that, and on!
