You asked me once why people cross their fingers when they tell a lie but also when we wish for something. I gave it some thought and I think I can answer you now.
It’s because we want to believe. Whether it be in untruths or wishes on candles, even a lie can be a small hope. I used to have my fingers crossed and eyes open when I wished for a tomorrow. Nowadays, I close them tight, cherish tomorrow.
Today again, I’m wishing to the ever-constant moon.
