Gallery Nucleus is thrilled to welcome Alan Barillaro and David Soren for a special exhibition and panel event. The exhibition will feature original illustrations from Barillaro's new illustrated novel Bunns Rabbit, alongside artwork from Soren’s middle grade novel Invisible. Join us for a panel and signing as the two artists share insights on their friendship, careers in film, and their creative journey into books and storytelling.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Alan Barillaro
Alan Barillaro is the author of the acclaimed debut Where the Water Take Us and the middle grade illustrated novel, Bunns Rabbit. The Academy Award-winning writer and director of the animated short film Piper, he has been supervising animator on numerous popular theatrical releases, including The Incredibles, WALL-E, and Brave. He has been honored with an ASIFA-Hollywood Award, an ICFF Award for Outstanding Career and was recognized by House Commons of Canada for his artistic and cultural contribution to the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario. He began his career in animation at the age of sixteen and spent twenty-five years at Pixar Animation Studios. Alan Barillaro lives in California.
David Soren
David Soren grew up in Canada and now lives in California with his wife and two children. After attending Sheridan College’s classical animation program, he was recruited by DreamWorks Animation, where he worked for over twenty years on many of their most beloved movies, including Shrek, Chicken Run, and How to Train Your Dragon. He directed and cowrote Turbo, Captain Underpants, and Under the Boardwalk. Invisible is his first book.
