ABOUT THE SCOTT C
Scott Campbell (Scott C.) is an author, illustrator and video game art director living in Los Angeles, California. He is the author and illustrator of Hug Machine (Atheneum, 2014), Adventures In Drawing: A Guided Sketchbook (Insight Kids, 2018), and the young readers graphic novel series Cabin Head and Tree Head (Tundra, September 2025). He has additionally illustrated numerous children’s books including SKULLS! (Atheneum, 2019), Sleepy the Goodnight Buddy (Little, Brown, 2018), the Zombie In Love series (Atheneum, 2011 and 2014), XO OX: A Love Story (Roaring Brook, 2017), and If Dogs Run Free (Atheneum, 2013). He was author/illustrator of the much loved Hug Machine and Adventures In Drawing: A Guided Sketchbook . The first book in his upcoming young readers graphic novel series called Cabin Head and Tree Head will be released this Sept 2025. HeHe has enjoyed a long career in video games where he art directed the critically acclaimed video games Psychonauts and Brutal Legend for Double Fine Productions as well as providing concept designs for many others.His ongoing web series Great Showdowns, and his Double Fine Action Comics have both been collected into publications. A San Jose, California, native, Scott has a degree in Illustration from the San Francisco Art Academy.
