Invited as a special guest at SDCC 2026, Studio Ghibli background painter Yoichi Nishikawa returns to LA for a solo exhibition and live concert for his latest series of paintings.

Yoichi Nishikawa has worked as a background painter at Studio Ghibli since 2004 and was an art director on the Boy and the Heron. He has been featured in several documentaries and videos on background painting and Studio Ghibli.
