Join us August 1st, as we celebrate new exhibition of original paintings by world-renowned Ghibli artist Yoichi Nishikawa with a live concert and serene visuals!
During the concert, pianist Wesley Chu will perform his original music inspired by Yoichi’s paintings, alongside animated vignettes of the paintings created by animator Kenson Lee.
After the performance, Yoichi will hold an exclusive signing for concert attendees.

**Artwork will debut at SDCC from July 22nd - July 26th. Any artwork purchased in-person at SDCC will be shipped after the Gallery Nucleus Exhibition closes on August 16th.
Artwork will be available to the general public online on August 2 at 12:01 AM PT.

Yoichi's artwork will also be available in person at SDCC from 7/23-7/26/25 at the Nucleus Comic Con Booth #2015

ABOUT YOICHI NISHIKAWA
Yoichi Nishikawa has worked as a background painter at Studio Ghibli since 2004 and was an art director on the Boy and the Heron. He has been featured in several documentaries and videos on background painting and Studio Ghibli.
