Gallery Nucleus is pleased to feature the wonderful work of Esther Morales and Alarico Ciaramelli in a duo exhibition! Focusing on nocturnal creatures, this exhibition will feature new work from both artists, both of whom will be attending in person to greet and sign prints and books for guests.

Esther's pieces showcase little slices of life of the animals that live in the wilderness at night, paying homage to the dichotomy of life in nature: its lights and shadows, its tenderness and aggressiveness, its delicate and raw essence.

Alarico's pieces play on the concept of "nightlife", in which animals have been decontextualized from their own natural habitat and are taking over the space humans have built around them, playfully satirizing the ways in which interference and cohabitation with humanity has altered these creatures's lives.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Esther Morales is a Spanish visual artist and character designer currently based in Salamanca (Spain). With an education in Fine Arts and a Master's Degree in Character Design she's been working over the last eight years for several feature films and animated series with studios such as Cartoon Network, Netflix Animation, Cartoon Saloon, Epipheo, Les Éditions Alber René, Ánima, Gigglebug and Lighthouse Studios. Her main passion is to observe and learn about the world through her sketches, especially focusing on the connection between humans and nature.

Alarico Ciaramelli is an Italian Character Designer and Visual Development Artist based in Spain. After studying Entertainment Design at Nemo Academy (Florence, Italy), he specialized in Character Design at the Silver Drawing Academy. In the past years he collaborated with studios such as Cartoon Saloon, Epipheo, Nexus and GaoShan Pictures. In 2023 he released his first book "Soundsketches" containing the musicians illustrations that he made during October 2022/2023.
