Artist Gian Galang returns to the gallery with a new series of paintings, focusing on wushu as the anchor to further explore movement, self expression, and the enduring spirit. 

OPENING RECEPTION DETAILS (May 14, 2022, 5pm - 9pm PST)

• Gian will be flying from New York to be in attendance to greet and mingle with fans.
• A complimentary bottle of Remy Martin Red will be gifted to the first five collectors that purchase a piece. 
• Live Wushu demonstration by the UCLA Wushu team at 6:00pm sharp.
• Attendees will receive a raffle ticket to win a signed copy of Be Water My Friend by Shannon Lee.

VIRTUAL RECEPTION (May 14, 2022, 6pm - 7pm PST)

• Tune in to the gallerynucleus Instagram live on opening night at 6pm PST
• To see the Wushu demonstration, and take a guided tour of the gallery.
• Gian and Misato will talk a bit about their work
• Feel free to ask questions during the live stream. We will do our best to get to them.

Gian Galang is an artist and illustrator living and working in NYC. He has created artwork for clients including Nike, Reebok, Vice, the UFC, ESPN, HBO, Criterion and Everlast. Previously, he worked as an art director in advertising at The Brooklyn Brothers NYC, Nickelodeon, and Anomaly NYC, and was a member of Wieden + Kennedy 12 year 5. He studied illustration and graphic design at Virginia Commonwealth University.
